Governance

How decisions are made, who makes them, and how members take part.

At a Glance

Two levels, one organization.

PROGRESIBO is organized at the Provincial Level, led by a Chairman and six Members of the Board, and at the Municipal Level, where each Chapter is led by its own President, Vice President and Secretary. Our By-Laws set out who decides what — and how members hold them to it.

Membership is open to any Filipino citizen of legal age who is a registered voter in the Province of Romblon and subscribes to the principles and objectives of the Organization.

Accomplish a membership application form and submit it to the Municipal Chapter for evaluation and endorsement to the Membership Committee. After its evaluation, the Committee endorses the application to the Board for acceptance.

Officers serve a term of three (3) years. They are elected by the Board from among its members during the annual general assembly.

Membership ends through death, resignation or expulsion.

A member may be expelled for acts inimical to the interest and contrary to the objectives of the Organization. The Board drafts the guidelines and procedure for disciplinary hearings, which are made available to all members and serve as their official notice.

All disputes and conflicts among members are submitted to the Committee on Grievance and Dispute Resolution for settlement and resolution.
